Membership Commitments
Membership Commitments
Here at the Junior League of Fort Wayne we are more than just a social organization. Engaging in voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community requires hard work.
Being a member of the Junior League could be one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever do.
Responsibilities
All members, new and experienced, make a commitment; a commitment to the organization, to themselves, and to the community.
You will be asked to perform necessary duties such as attending meetings, joining committees, paying dues, and completing electives. These are the necessary things that keep us running year after year.
Our Electives
Every year we do a vast amount of work. We all come from different backgrounds and we all have different skills. We have a list of tasks called “electives”. JLFW members choose responsibilities from this list, such as volunteer for a JLFW community project or fundraiser (4-hour total time commitment), attend a Junior League University at Fort Wayne training session, or assist with the procurement of a JLFW corporate sponsorship.
