Education Empowerment Series

Northeast Indiana is home to many dedicated teachers, daycare professionals, parents, foster parents, and leaders. The Junior League of Fort Wayne recognizes that these professions and positions require external training and development opportunities. In order to bring in high-caliber speakers and trainers to Fort Wayne, the Junior League of Fort Wayne started the Education Empowerment Series. Each year, teachers, daycare professionals, and parents will have local, full-day training opportunities instead of having to find quality conferences in Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, or Cleveland.

The Junior League of Fort Wayne is dedicated to ensure readiness for elementary school for all families in our community. With that in mind, a conference series such as the Education Empowerment Series is designed to empower and encourage all those who work with children.

The Education Empowerment Series is an annual, one-day conference-style event. Our inaugural event was held on August 5, 2017, with guest speaker/trainer Amy Speidel of Conscious Discipline. Attendees enjoyed a continental breakfast, lunch, and emotional management training. The Education Empowerment Series is the new fundraising format for the Junior League of Fort Wayne. The events benefit our League’s community program First Things First, as well as training opportunities for volunteers.
