As the Junior League of Fort Wayne approached its 70th anniversary, its members tried to think of a powerful and visible way to commemorate this milestone. Committee members gathered, cooked, taste tested and edited hundreds of recipes. The best three hundred twenty were selected for a beautiful cookbook featuring tidbits about JLFW's current and past projects as well as keepsake photos and little extras from our hometown. The result is - 70 Savory Suppers: JLFW's Celebration of 70 Years.
The cookbook offers plenty of "from scratch" recipes, but there are also recipes that start with premade or convenience items to reduce preparation time. Watch for JLFW's "Aw Shucks Cookbook Classics" which have been republished in our second JLFW cookbook, due to their lasting popularity and legacy. We also offer menu suggestions with removable dividers to organize recipes into ethnic and event-centric themes such as "Sunday Dinner", "Easy Weeknights" and "Around the World".
