Done-In-A-Day Projects
These are hands-on projects completed in a single day, and provide an opportunity for our members to partner with other organizations to make a lasting change with immediate and tangible results. Each League year our goal is to complete 6-8 Done-In-A-Day Projects.
- In 2007-2008 projects included:
- Participating in Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build Project
- Dressing up and passing out candy at The Great Zoo Halloween
- Organizing and throwing a Christmas Party for the women and children of Fort Wayne Rescue Ministries’ Charis House
- Painting and stenciling the main meeting room at Erin’s House for Grieving Children
- Hosting an Easter Egg Hunt and Party for the children of Vincent House, Interfaith Hospitality Network and Transitions
- Filling 350 backpacks with food for underprivileged children as part of the Blessings in a Backpack Project at Adams Elementary School
