JLFW's 2011 Kids in the Kitchen Event

JLFW held our annual Kids in the Kitchen event on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the Fort Wayne Boys & Girls Club on Fairfield Avenue.  This annual event is very popular with the kids and with our great volunteers.  And we made the news - Indiana's News Center was there to report on our event.

Meg Distler - Journal Gazette's 2010 Citizen of the Year

JLFW Sustainer and Past President Meg Distler was chosen as a Journal Gazette's 2010 Citizen of the Year for her extensive work in assisting the Burmese refugee population in Fort Wayne.  Congratulations Meg - You are an inspiration. We are all very happy for you!

Partnership with Wellspring Interfaith Social Services

A grant from the Junior League of Fort Wayne assisted the Wellspring Interfaith Social Services with creating and publishing "Neighborhood Cooks 2009" - a cookbook created using mostly ingredients available at their food bank.
